My 15 year old daughter has a cell phone and has started to receive calls from a number with which she is unfamiliar. As a parent, this is incredibly troubling. This only came up when she asked me the other day, “Dad, can I locate someone by mobile phone?”
I was not immediately aware what she was after but once I asked a few questions it became obvious that somehow her cell phone number had either sprung up on some list somewhere, someone was repeatedly calling a wrong number, or someone was intentionally trying to bother my daughter.
I was very concerned that it was that last option. The first few times the mobile number popped up on her phone, she answered it unknowingly and the person hung up on her.
