Reverse Mobile Review

Reverse Mobile ReviewChoosing the right reverse phone directory can be intimidating. You want accurate data at the lowest possible price. Here’s a Reverse Mobile review, the service I use and referenced several posts ago when I switched from the previous directory I was using. I had taken some notes about the sign-up process and am just now getting into an overview to share with others.

Reverse Mobile is more than a reverse phone directory. They also offer a complete range of investigative services and background checks. This information can come in handy if you want to find out about someone new in your life, investigate potential new employees or contractors, or help a friend check out a new boyfriend or girlfriend.

To use their service, you can either order a single report on a phone number for $14.95 or join with a one year membership for $39.95. There’s an optional upgrade to the one year membership for $4.95 that will give you unlimited searches for address history, age, date of birth, marital status, phone number(s), possible relatives and associates, property records, business searches, neighborhood checks, reverse IP search, as well as people searches by name, phone and address.

I’ll walk you through the order process, the reverse directory products and services, what Reverse Mobile ahs to offer in the way of customer services, and what I found when I used the reverse phone directory for full background reports on my wife and myself.

What I found surprised even me….

Reverse Mobile Sign Up Process

The sign up process is very easy. Using this link: Reverse Mobile, I chose the one year membership with the optional upgrade for $4.95. The total charge was $44.90. Ordering takes place through Clickbank, a secure online marketplace used by vendors who sell digital products. They accept all major credit cards plus PayPal.

As with every online purchase, I want to make sure that my payment information and email address will be protected. Reverse Mobile confirms during sign up that your information will be held privately, never sold, and never used by any third parties. (I’ve included screenshots of my sign-up at the bottom of this post, in case you want to see the disclosures.)

Reverse Mobile Membership Benefits

I remember being a bit confused about what I was getting for my $44.90 when I signed up so let me explain what that covers. When you join, $40 of your sign up fee is banked for you as credits in Reverse Mobile. You can spend that $40 on any of their various search products including:

  • Full background check
  • Reverse mobile phone number report
  • Criminal records search
  • Bankruptcy report
  • Sex offender report
  • Email searches
  • Social security searches
  • Birth and death records
  • Divorce record searches
  • Business background reports

Each type of search has a slightly different fee.  A birth, death or divorce record is $5.00 whereas a full background report is $30.00.  You can always contribute additional funds if you run more reports than your original $40 but considering the number of lower cost searches you can do, your $40 can go a long way in finding personal information about someone.

On top of that, the upgrade of $4.95 gives you access to what Reverse Mobile calls their Unlimited Search database for a full year.  That database includes:

  • Email searches
  • Reverse IP address lookups
  • Neighborhood information
  • Reverse zip code lookups
  • Marital status searches
  • Name and address searches
  • Names of relatives
  • Property records
  • Address history reports

The directory has a “no hit, no charge” policy so that if your search returns no results, you won’t be charged for the search itself.

Reverse Mobile Results

To complete my Reverse Mobile review, I performed full background reports on my both my wife and I. It was the best way to determine the accuracy of the information. Of course, that led to one dilemma – I’m not really comfortable showing all my own personal data in this website so I’ll just describe for you what I found rather than use screen shots.

I’ll start with my wife because that information shocked both of us. She had an ex boyfriend in her past with whom she had a long and sometimes tumultuous relationship. Since we married and moved away from where she grew up, she has not spoken to him at all. She has always been concerned that he might be able to track her down but she knew that all references to her maiden name ended in the last state she lived in and that all new records that would have been generated for public records information would now be in her married name in our new location.

She has always been pretty sure he would never be able to find her. Instead, a search under her maiden name turned up information under both her maiden name and her married name including my name and our current address.

There were also references to the elementary school she attended, her place of employment, lists of deceased notifications for family members, the name of every previous owner who ever lived in the house we now own – even the longitude and latitude of our house address.

It was as if the report had gone out and scoured every bit of information on us it could gather from any source on the internet or from public records and laid it out in a nice, complete package and but a big red bow on the top. I am pretty well versed in how to track down information on anyone online but the amount of information on a full phone report was much more than I expected.

On my background report, I found not only my address and my wife’s name and information, but also the name of the college I went to, my date of birth, my parents’ information, my employment information, and several listing of obituaries from distant family members that had passed away in the last few years.

My brother’s name and information was associated with my file, too, as we had once shared a house together.

If you want to see what you can find out about yourself online, do a full report on just yourself first. You’ll be amazed at the trail of information you’ve left in databases all around the country.

Not all of the reports I pulled were 100% accurate. For example, there is a birth records database and I entered my six year old son’s information to see if his birth record was on file. I got no match. Same for the divorce record of a friend of mine who had divorced in another state 10 years ago. However, what I had uncovered on my personal data and my wife’s was more than enough to know that if I had to find someone using their personal information, these full reports from Reverse Mobile would give me all the information I’d need to find someone’s current location.

Reverse Mobile Extras

Reverse Mobile offers some nice customer services that make their reverse directory easy to use:

  • A series of five, short, easy-to-understand training videos show you how to perform searches, save your information, and utilize both the Direct and Unlimited access features.
  • All of your search results are stored in your account for 60 days for quick reference.
  • An Expert Assistance button is always available in case you need help with any of your search requests.

Final Reverse Mobile Review

In my final review of Reverse Mobile, the account dashboard is user friendly, the number of products and services offered is more than sufficient for most people, I felt I got sufficient value for my money, particularly with the upgrade for unlimited searches, the report formats were very easy to read, and the order process was fast. Response times in the database were never longer than 3 seconds. I tested being able to retrieve my reverse phone reports after logging out and logging back in and all of my searches were saved and readily accessible.

If I had any complaints it would be that, as I mentioned, some of the miscellaneous searches I performed either didn’t return any results or were missing some information. However, the full background reports were much more accurate than previous reverse phone directories I’d used. Because I’m familiar with these reverse tools, I understand why not every directory can be 100% accurate so, relatively speaking, I was more than pleased with the amount of information I received in the full reverse phone reports I ordered.

Here are the screen shots of the order process:
